The working of Det Norske Veritas, a training partner of Korean shipyards through the DNV academy, is discussed. DNV is sharing accumulated knowledge and experience of the classification society with yard personnels to build their competences. DNV provides general, design and advanced courses for engineers of different workfields. DNV is currently involved in design joint projects for expanding markets of containerships and gas carriers.
