摘要
In Soviet factories the firing of high voltage porcelain insulators in the green state is done in kilns heated with high-calorific fuel - natural gas or mazut. The combustion media are the products of combustion from this fuel. Their composition determines the nature of the kiln atmosphere. During the heating of the products in an oxidizing atmosphere the temperature regulation in the kiln is ensured not only by the change in the amount of fuel being burned but also by using secondary air which as a diluent is mixed with the products of its complete combustion. Ordinary and rapid burner devices with a wide range of temperature control, volume, and rate of flow of the combustion products have obtained wide use on the basis of this principle.
