The energy management program at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla., is discussed. Walt Disney World has implemented a state-of-the-art energy-management program (EMP) in order to maximize energy conservation and efficiency while minimizing costs and emissions. Disney's energy-managemnent program is founded on Energy Star, metered data, information technology and teamwork. The program can serve as a role model to owners and administrators of public and private facilities.
