Prediction of transition by the e**9-method is extended to flows with separation. The procedure makes use of the second-branch solutions of the Falkner-Skan similarity equation and the numerical solution of the Orr-Sommerfeld equation. A novel eigenvalue procedure coupled with a continuation method is employed to obtain the amplification rates for the velocity profiles with significant flow separation. The resulting calculation method is shown to provide a basis for computing transition in similar and nonsimilar flows.
