摘要
The adsorbent properties of zeolites 5A, 13X and activated charcoal have been measured for the organic refrigerants R11, R12, R22 and R114. The aim of the work was to assess their use as possible pairs in an adsorption cycle that could be used for solar cooling. Charcoal-R22 offered the best Coefficient of Performance of about 0. 2. There is obviously a need for a simpler, more maintenance free solar technology, and absorption or adsorption cycles may provide it.
