摘要：
The influence of additional linear damping on the critical wind velocity for wide span bridges is theoretically investigated using the formula of Theodorsen for the aerodynamic force and the aerodynamic moment. The transferability of the results to practical problems is discussed. The theoretical results are compared with those of wind-tunnel tests to specify the statements concerning the limits of transferability.
