摘要:
Recent advances in amorphous silicon (a-Si) solar cells and its industrializations are reviewed. Today we are entering a new era of photovoltaics characterized by consumer applications for bulk power generating systems at private residences. Technological developments in the field of a-Si solar cells are discussed from the viewpoint of fabrication methods and new device structures. Various applications taking advantage of the a-Si solar cell are also introduced. Finally, future prospects are discussed, including the new concept of a GENESIS system for worldwide energy generation and transmission.
