Far-infrared (FIR) response of the SrLaAlO4 (SLAO) single crystals under different temperatures was analyzed using the reflectivity spectra. It was found that SLAO was well transparent in the FIR region below∼60 cm-1 and has low dielectric loss. It was also found that the dielectric permittivity of the SLAO was temperature dependent and almost constant. The results show that the HTSC thin films deposited on SLAO are suitable for FIR transmission investigations.
