ESTABLISHING A MICROGRAPHICS TRAINING PROGRAM: REHABILITATION/INDUSTRY COOPERATION.

The Texas Institute for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR) and the Southwest Chapter of the National Microfilm Association (NMA) have combined to form a microfilm training program for individuals with disabilities. The purpose is to provide the community with well trained microfilm technicians at the same time a person with a disability learns a skill through which he can support himself. Although this program is relatively new, it's successes indicate that training programs of this nature are feasible.
