Spectral domain analysis of microstripline fed arbitrarily-shaped aperture antennas

Pozar's reciprocity analysis for microstripline fed slots have been extended with the use of triangular domain basis functions to treat arbitrarily shaped apertures. A resulting hybrid technique is developed with the reciprocity technique, with the method of moments using the triangular basis functions to model these antennas. Two types of offset aperture antennas, the rectangular slot and the exponentially tapered slot antenna, have been analyzed to show the validity of the hybrid technique.
