摘要
Located in northeastern Oklahoma, the City of Muskogee water system serves a total customer base of 60,000. Our good-quality raw water usually has low turbidity, low color, and moderate hardness. However, our heavy summer rains can cause variable water quality with high turbidity, high color, manganese, and natural organic matter. Because of this variable water quality, we were concerned that our water might be corrosive. As lead and copper regulations loomed, we began a study of our water quality data. This article describes the steps we followed to investigate our water quality problem and, ultimately, to choose a solution that best fit our needs. © 1994 American Water Works Association.
