摘要
The analysis of transient elasto-plastic thermal stresses in rotating discs subjected to transient thermal loading and constant centrifugal loading simultaneously is presented by using the Mises yield condition and stress-strain relation based on the strain incremental theory. The analytical model used for the calculation is a flat and hollow disc which is heated at the outer periphery by heat transfer from hot gases. Results obtained are summarized as follows; When Biot number is large, compressive plastic stress which appears at an early stage of the heating process in the outer part of the disc changes into tensile plastic stress at a later stage and compressive plastic stress remains in the middle part of the disc at steady state. However, when centrifugal force is large, the above-mentioned compressive plastic stress in the middle part of the disc does not appear at steady state. In the case of small Biot numbers, the reverse of stress does not occur in the outer part of the disc.
