摘要
A discussion is presented of the general features found when solution components are involved in anodic metal dissolution. The example selected is the influence of I** minus ions on anodic bismuth dissolution. It is shown that the iodide ions when adsorbed on bismuth can inhibit or accelerate anodic bismuth dissolution, depending on their bond strength with the electrode.
