The Ireland-based company Jefferson Smurfit has become the #2 player in the Argentinean corrugated board market, after buying Argentina's Cartonex, Cartonex and Usina Bernal for $13 million. The new operations of the company include a recycled containerboard mill and two corrugated board plants.
