摘要：

The authors present guidelines on using various models in different types of stability studies for synchronous machines. They also present concordant procedures for obtaining data for such models. The principal areas of modeling are categorized into four general areas and two of them are discussed in detail: large disturbances, nonlinear; and small signal, linear.
