A study of market situations of Gravure printers was presented. Gravure is focusing for shorter press runs, increased automation and control cost. New ink systems are ther development processes to reduce cost in publication and packaging fields. The fact that toulene is used in publication gravure, is of concern in European Union. A downturn is expected in the year 2001 in publication gravure due to the economic slide.
