After a review of general design criteria for vehicles for monitoring broadcast transmissions the article describes the mobile monitoring station commissioned recently by the EBU Receiving and Measuring Station (CEM), based at Jurbise in Belgium. The vehicle is permanently fitted with a basic infrastructure (mast, power supplies, etc. ) and specialized receivers. Measurement equipment, covering frequencies from 10 kHz to 1 GHz, can be installed to meet the specific requirements of individual missions.
