摘要：
The concept of an expert system is briefly explained in this paper. This is intended to give the basic ideas and applications of the expert system, though it does not attempt to present any new research. The choice of control structure for a particular system depends on specific characteristics of the system. It is possible to extract the non-domain specific parts from existing expert systems and use them as tools for building new expert systems in new domains. Examples of such tools include EXPERT, UNITS and EMYCIN.
