摘要
An existing comprehensive physical model that correctly reproduced tides, tidal currents, hurricane surges, and salinity distribution through-out the New York Harbor area and especially the Jamaica Bay complex was used to determine the effects of 13 different hurricane surge barrier plans on the hydraulic environment of Jamaica Bay. During the course of the study, additional tests were conducted to investigate schemes to enhance circulation within the bay.
