The transient characteristics of a plane piezoceramic transducer in the radiator mode and in the receiver mode are analyzed, assuming an arbitrary magnitude of the electromechanical coupling coefficient and an RC parallel load circuit. The fundamental dependence of the amplitude buildup of the waveform evolution on the parameters of the piezoceramic plate, on the load, on the damper, and on the electrical circuit configuration is established.
