As a CFC-free and energy-saving refrigeration technology, the waste heat powered heat-regenerative adsorption air-conditioning system seems to be attractive compared with the traditional technologies. A waste heat powered heat-regenerative adsorption air-conditioning prototype has been constructed previously. This study aims at its performance research, which can be used to guide the optimal running of the prototype. It is also a key step for the real application of this kind of system. Based upon the practical three-heat-reservoir model and a lot of experiments on the prototype, the orderliness of cooling-water inlet and outlet temperature and evaporating temperature verse time was analyzed. Experimental performance objectives were defined. It is proved by the experiment that the prototype performance is satisfactory if compared with other cycles and experimental result is in good agreement with the simulation. So the application of the heat-regenerative adsorption air-conditioning system is achievable and beneficial in real use.
