Physicochemical Properties of Alloys of the CuBr-CuI System.

Certain properties in the CuBr-CuI system vary continuously, while the concentration dependences of others have extrema. The nature of the solid solutions in the first case, and ordering and structural variation of defects in the second case corresponding changes in the elementary cell lattice, the density, the specific surface, the electric conductivity, the luminescence wavelength, the diamagnetic susceptibility, etc. These same physical phenomena are also reflected in the adsorption-catalytic characteristics. 12 refs.
