Shaking table tests in a centrifuge were carried out for dry and saturated sand deposits in a relatively large laminar container, 74 cm long, 34 cm wide, and 50 cm deep. Shear moduli and damping ratios were calculated by using back analysis for dry sand model tests. The calculated results are compared with the results of 1g-field shaking test and torsional shear test with the same sand. It was found that the relationship between shear modulus and confining pressure for dry sand was not affected by method of tests and vibration frequency. Moreover, it was confirmed that analyses could simulate the tests for dry and saturated sand deposits by using analytical parameters which were calculated through inverse analysis.
