摘要
INHOMOGENEITY OF THE ELECTRIC FIELD OF ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES PLAYS AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN THE ABSORPTION OF SUCH WAVES BYTWO-DIMENSIONAL PLASMONS. THE RELAXATION TIME CONCEPT CANNOT BE INTRODUCED IN THIS CASE, AND THE TRANSPORT EQUATION TO BE SOLVED HAS AN INTEGRAL COLLISIONAL TERM. AN EXACT SOLUTION OF THE PROBLEM IS OBTAINED FOR ″DELTA″ -LIKE SCATTERERS, AND A REGULAR METHOD IS PRESENTED FOR OBTAINING AN APPROXIMATE SOLUTION IN THE CASE OF AN ARBITRARY POTENTIAL OF THE SCATTERING CENTERS WHEN THE WAVELENGTH OF THE FIELD IS MUCH GREATER THAN THE EFFECTIVE BOHR RADIUS. A DETAIL ANALYSIS IS MADE OF A TWO-LEVEL SYSTEM, AND FORMULAS ARE OBTAINED FOR THE ABSORBED POWER AND THE LINE WIDTHS IN TWO PLASMA BRANCHES.
