Simulation and modeling of milling forces for ball-end milling cutter based on BP neural network

摘要
The theory and the algorithm of BP neural network were applied in the research of the modeling of milling forces of ball-end cutter. First, the neural network model was established for predicting milling forces by using the LM algorithm considering the effective factors of milling forces, and then the established neural network model was trained more times by choosing a large amount of experimental data of milling forces. Finally, the trained neural network model was used to simulate the milling forces. Results of simulation on milling forces show that the milling force model using the BP neural network method can predict milling forces exactly.
