摘要
Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks saturate networks. Such attacks overwhelm the target server with an immense volume of traffic that prevents normal users from from accessing the server. DDoS attacks can be countered by employing either local or global solutions. Local solutions can be implemented on the victim computer or its local network without an outsider's cooperation. Global solutions require the cooperation of several Internet subnets.
