摘要
Ionic contamination control is more than the simple testing of residual contamination - it covers the whole range of identification and prevention of contaminationthroughout the entire assembly process, starting with bought-in components. This paper is a 'state-of-the-art' resume of the current situation covering this range of operations. The most common sources of contamination are identified. Mention is made of the latest progress in cleaning machine technology using solvents and water, either for simple or combination cleaning. The most modern methods of ionic contamination testing are described.
