摘要
A newly designed Josephson transmission line (JTL) in which multilayer junctions consisting of n SI layers vertically stacked as one-dimensional superlattice replace conventional single SIS junctions has been modeled and numerically simulated. This represents the first study of a device which can practically support multiple flux quantum solitons. Geometries of discrete multilayer junction JTLs have been investigated. It is shown that multilayers have a potential to significantly reduce the size of JTL-based circuitry without compromising switching speed.
