摘要
The paper provides an overview of the life-cycle costs of rail vehicles. Following an introduction into the calculation methodology including the dynamic investment calculation, the life-cycle costs of inverter locomotives are discussed in more detail. Special attention is focussed on the fuel costs because this cost block accounts for 50-75% of the total life-cycle costs. It is shown how the life-cycle costs can be determined more precisely by computer simulations of operations.
