The generators of phase-currents of stepping-motors are frequently provided with a double-voltage device: a low voltage E and voltage K times higher, in order to decrease the rising-time of those currents. This work shows it is generally useless to take a high value for K, in the eventuality of a rotation of the motor, with stoppage on every step, without electric braking. The electric braking, with a few units value for K, improves the rotation speed, when stopping on every step.
