The limitations and advantages of the fundamental types of temperature control have been reviewed, and it appears that combinations of multiple zone-temperature feedback control loops are necessary in an integrated control system, which should be modulated also by outside environmental data from appropriate sensors. Sensor siting and the choice and sizing of plant are crucial factors in designing satisfactory temperature control systems.
