The article is devoted to the 100-th birthday of the great Russian scientist N.E. Kochin, who made a considerable contribution in development of meteorology, hydrodynamics and aerodynamics. He is the founder of the modern hydroaerodynamic scale in Russia. N. Kochin created the model of the moist cyclone and the generalized model of atmospheric movements. The set of Kochin's works is devoted the water wave theory and problems related to body moving under the liquid surface for two- and three-dimensional formulations.
