摘要
While driving the exploratory gallery for the 9. 3 km long Seelisberg tunnel the presence of methane gas was noted. The most important characteristics of methane are given and the investigation of the origin and quantity of this gas outflow is described. Finally, a summary of the safety measures required for this tunnel work are given.
