Fourth order solution of Stokes wave on a uniform current were calculated based on the first and the second definition of the wave celerity, respectively. Also the theoretical solutions for wave shoaling by the energy flux method were presented, and the characteristics of wave shoaling affected by currents were clarified. In the calculation of energy flux, it was pointed out that the change in the mean level of the free surface should be taken into account, and that the change can be evaluated by Bernoulli's equation.
