Doppler weather radar has made significant advances, the most recent of which are discusssed in this paper. They generally fall into three categories: (1) waveform; (2) diplay; and (3) signal processing. In addition, there are significant advances being made in hardware technology that will permit faster, better or lower cost implementation of some of the above, and they are touched on briefly.
