Al-V-Si aluminium alloy is the most typical rapidly solidified aluminium alloy possessing good fracture toughness, temperature rise strength and corrosion resistance, and can be used to replace titanium alloy for making aeroplane components. The chemical composition, physical and mechanical properties of three typical Al-V-Si aluminium alloys were given, and the fatigue strength, corrosion resistance, machinability and weldability were also presented.
