Effect of Filler Characteristics on the Properties and Performance of Plastics-Based Coating Materials Used in the Construction Industry.

This paper is concerned with the optimal physical values such as particle size and particle size distribution of various fillers used in insulating materials for building applications. Materials discussed are quartz, dolomite, talcum, calcium carbonate, etc. Effect of specific surface (porosity), moisture contents and thermal expansion coefficient of fillers and the usability of plastics-based compounds are also discussed in this report.
