Theory and Applications of Wire Drawing.

It is pointed out that the methods of production of the wire industry are still largely based on experience rather than a clear understanding of the basic theory. An attempt is made by the author to use more generally understandable mathematical concepts in introducing theory, and to demonstrate on examples the use of mathematical expressions in evaluation of measurements, as of the efficiency of a wire drawing machine and of drawing force in operation.
