A facility is created and a technology is elaborated for producing the ASD-4 aluminum powder-based corrosion-resistant coating at the steel strip. Heating rate and deformation degree effect on intermetallic layer thickness is investigated. The strip rolling with applied aluminum powder layer offers a given coating density and well contact of the aluminum and steel surfaces due to oxide film destruction. The rise of heating rate and deformation degree intensifies the diffusion processes resulting in increase of the intermetallic layer, comprised of FeAl3 and Fe2Al5.
