摘要
The Three Gorges Project (TGP) is considered an important backbone project in the development and harnessing of China's Yangtze River. It is the largest water resources project to be built in the world. With the normal pool at 175 m, the total storage capacity of the reservoir will be 39.3×109 m3. TGP is a multipurpose project which will provide comprehensive benefits mainly on flood control, power generation and navigation improvements. In the past seven years, the required funds have been acquired, and construction has progressed smoothly in accordance with the master schedule.
