摘要：
The present status of air-pollution control in the U. S. steel mills is reviewed, and major problems associated with achieving the required degree of pollution control in steelmaking processes are critically examined. Also discussed are the cost of pollution-control equipment and the implementation of the clean air law and regulations. The scope of air pollution in the steel industry is assessed, and EPA's interpretation of significant fugitive emissions is compared with that of the industry.
