摘要
To be used in the study of high-brightness electron beams and free electron lasers, the design and building of a Compact Infrared Free-Electron Laser (CIRFEL) is necessary as part of Grumman's ongoing research in particle accelerators. Besides being employed for FEL development, it will also served in experiments such as basic FEL physics, biophysics, chemistry, and materials science.
