Study to develop a method of analysis for determining the member forces and joint displacements that result in steel frames from specified temperature changes in the exterior columns. Consideration is limited to plane frames. The studies made using two multistory steel structures include influence of numer of stories, beam stiffness, connection stiffness, and temperature gradient on temperature effects.
