摘要
A description is given of the results of a study of the method of coking of high-ash Tkibuli coal in a ring oven to produce carbonaceous reducing agent for the production of ferroalloys. High-ash Tkibuli gas coal is not suitable for production of blast-furnace coke, but it may constitute a feedstock base for production of ferroalloy reducing agents. It is shown that the coke is characterized by the readiness and higher values of the reaction capacity and specific electrical resistance than for metallurgical coke. The mean lump size of the coke is smaller than for the original coal. However, this decrease did not occur due to an increase in the quantity of fines, but principally due to a decrease in the content of the large size classes (over 25 mm). The yield of the desired class (25-5 mm), used in ferroalloy ovens, increased by almost 7%. The high structural strength of the coke (82. 3%) shows that on crushing of the over 25 mm class a large quantity of fines may not be formed.
