摘要：
A philosophy of a Data Base Management System (DBMS) for a composite type of distributed data base is proposed. Various kinds of data models are integrated into a relational model to construct the distributed data base. A user for the distributed data base puts a query by looking at the integrated data model. If the user's query is related to more than one component data base, it is decomposed into subqueries, specific to each data base. By linking corresponding subanswers from these data bases, the final answer is obtained, which is performed with the user's aid, if necessary.
