摘要
The specimens comprised 99. 95 per cent pure magnesium (grade MG-95), Mg-treated nodular graphite iron and high-magnesium iron with new Mg-rich formations (presumably complex Mg carbides). The emission spectrum of Mg atoms in a graphite matrix differs quite distinctly from those of the pure metal and Mg-rich carbide particles. All the evidence points to the additive being adsorbed and thereby influencing the growth rates on graphite faces in iron melts of normal purity.
