This paper presents a simple method for relating basic nuclear power plant conditions to possible off-site releases. This method could be used to estimate releases by unmonitored pathways or to project releases based on postulated accident progression. This method was designed for use by the U.S. Nuclear Regulator Commission (NRC) response organization, but its use does not require a knowledge of source term research.
