For photometry detectors with good correction of the relative spectral responsivity to prescribed spectral weighting functions - often the V( lambda )-function - must be used. In many cases light sources with a relative spectral power distribution according to prescribed standard illuminants are necessary. The correction of the relative spectral responsivity respectively the relative spectral power distribution is made by correction filters. The basis for the correction, the methods and the description of the quality of the correction are described. The characteristics of a good V( lambda )-filter for thermal receivers are given.
