摘要：

A method eliminating the calculation procedure and subsequent automatic correction for the mass of 1 m**2 was developed. The method is based on making the measuring conditions approach those in a saturated layer as closely as possible. Under the paper fabric was placed a substrate consisting of fiber and the filler being measured, the filler concentration in the substrate lying within the range characteristic of the particular type of paper, while the thickness of the substrate together with the fabric being measured exceeds the thickness of the saturation layer.
