Certain problems connected with the presence of radioactive materials in the water-steam cycle are discussed, including the formation of radioactive deposits on the turbine and the formation of tritium in the helium cycle. It is shown that the radioactive constituents of the water-steam cycle, with the exception of tritium, can be satisfactorily removed by means of a precoat filter containing powdered resins.
